I have a 20" C2D iMac with 2x 512MB memory modules = 1GB.

My Core Duo MacBook has 2x 256MB memory modules = 512MB.

It sure looks like they both use DDR2 PC2-5300 memory. So, before I buy my new memory, can I buy new memory for my iMac, then take it's original memory and put it in my MacBook?

I'm sure it's a dumb question, but I wanted to ask before spending the money.
