Very specific gaming question
Hello, I don't really want to do that much high performance gaming. In fact, the only gaming I want to do on my Macbook Pro C2D is Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and anything that is of the level of Half-life 2 in terms of performance needs. My Macbook Pro can do all this, in fact for Warcraft III and WoW, I don't even need Bootcamp or Parallels. However, there is a problem. I want to use Ventrilo when I play my games to hang out with all of my friends while we play.
Mac support of Ventrilo is not very good, the official program is only in beta and only supports one codec. Basically, I need to know how big of a perfomance hit I will take if I run Parallels for just Ventrilo. I plan to just play Warcraft III and WoW in OSX but I'd like to use Parallels to hang out in Ventrilo with my friends. Also, if I assign Parallels a push to talk key, will I be able to use this key even though it's running in Parallels? Also, I checked out Crossover and it's really not the solution I'm looking for because of how it runs plus I need to use Windows for a few other things specifically programming that I just don't want to have to deal with in Crossover. Anyways, thanks for any help.
