i tunes: burning cd

i am getting can not burn - medium error. any body know what is the problem. i also tried toast and same problem. i am using CD-Rs

    damaged disc? What computer do you have and what burning settings are you using?

    imac intel 17 inch. used several discs. is it possible something wrong with superdrive itself? luckily i burned it on macbook, but i need to know if i need imac should be looked at before applecare up. thanks

    Silly question but... Have you tried burning a different BRAND of disk? If so, I'd make sure you get your iMac seen before the applecare expires... that's what you bought it for, right?!
