How to activate tabs in Safari?

in Mac Software edited January 2014

I am a recent switcher to Mac and I am trying to get familiar with Mac OS X and Mac softwares.

I wanted to activate tabs at Safari but could not figure out how to do that. I searched the internet, but all I could find was some procedure describing to activate them by adding some scripts. As I am new to Mac I did no want to mess up with scrits etc.. Is there an easy way out (choosing from some menu etc..) to activate the tabs in Safari?

Thanks in adavnce...

"Activate"? Do you want to know how to open a new tab? Just hit Command+T. There is some menu way of doing it but I'm not in front of my Mac now.

Also called "Apple" key... So it's Apple-T.
