I'm looking to get a GPS system for my MBP to use in my car. In searching the net, I'm finding quite a lot of options, but I have no idea which ones are better than others. I wanted to see what you guys would recommend, based on experience. I see there are a lot of bluetooth enabled receivers as well, does anyone have experience with those? Any imput is appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend a car navigation system from Garmin. You will need to update the software using Boot Camp or Parallels/VMware running Windows, though, since there is currently no OS X software available for each.

A Bluetooth GPS will work with your MBP, however there is no comprehensive navigation software for OS X. Apps like GPSy or MacGPS Pro are mapping packages only. They do not do navigation (e.g. turn-by-turn directions).

    Hope this helps.
