Actually, I've been hearing for some time that there'd be a new point release this winter; so, it's not completely unfathomable.

Anyhow, yes, it is for real.

Important notes from Graeme's last two .plan updates

Just so I'm telling the truth, there is a TEST version of Mac OS X 1.32 up on our ftp (or it will be in a bit, isdn slowness). If anyone who is willing to test this in the next 24 hours can, and let me know how it goes I'd appreciate it. Let me know about performance, issues, crashes, etc. asap (while I sleep, been up for 36 hours now) and we'll get this final tomorrow. If you can, I'd really appreciate it if you can compare performance to previous Q3A installs on your computer. Add that dual monitor and drag the window between them, use two mice, drink coffee and use the rail gun at the same time.

This is a complete update, all pak files are included, so this drags right over your main Q3A install. You'll need OS X 10.1 or later to run it. It addresses keyboard, mouse, OpenGL issues for OS X, and adds support for Gameranger (as well as all the other updates and fixes listed in the readme).

Please email me directly with issues ([email protected]).

    Thank you for your patience.

Okay! Got tons of input! Punkbuster support requires additional files from Even Balance before it will enable.

    - mods don't boot.

    - KP_ENTER wont bind.

    - no icon (I knew that)

    - mouse acceleration

    - mouse event timer wrong

    - missed a pak file

    - holding down toggle console does bad things

    - performance is down a bit (although that may be 1.32 in general)

    - alt-tab / cmd-h glitches

Okay, thanks for the test run. Let me zoom through these and update you all asap.

    - oh and if anyone wants to make a pass at a splash screen, go right ahead.

There you have it!

Unfortunately, id is just being hammered at the moment. It's been flooded with users trying to download it since yesterday evening. Just keep trying and waiting.

If you use any mods with Quake 3, then DON'T BOTHER. All mods break with this test* release. Also, since you're on a modem, I wouldn't recommend this since you'll need to update it again in a few days.

*I emphasize "test" because someone posted this on VersionTrakcer and failed to mention that it is NOT the final 1.32 point release.
