Unlocked iPhone: What would you pay?
Given that the Cingular deal is subsidizing the iPhone, would you be willing to pay the full price for an unlocked phone?
I'm thinking an $899 unlocked phone that you can take to any carrier. Of course, the consumer would have to understand that certain things would change: battery life would diminish with 3G; random access visual voicemail wouldn't work without Cingular; etc.

Won't happen...
I'd like to see a similar device that does wifi and has all he same controls as the iphone, minus the phone part... I'd pay 4-500 for that.
