Month of Apple Bugs: What Happened?

Posted:
in General Discussion edited January 2014
You know, there was that "internet security specialist," D.I, or whatever his pseudonym was, who said each day of this month, he would find an Apple bug?

Whatever happened to his Apple bugs? Did he run out of bugs to find, or did they become so insignificant that no one is paying attention?

I thought this was supposed to be the most "terrifying" month for Mac OS, and " all it's bugs"

Thanks

It's still chugging. So far almost a third of them have been for third party apps (VLC, Omniweb, APE, Colloquy, which I've never heard of, and the PDF specification itself, which they claim affects multiple vendors' apps).

Another five affect DMGs. Two more affect QuickTime, one affects iPhoto, and three more are genuine Mac OS X bugs.

I don't know, however, how many were fixed at the time they were released. Even their VLC exploit on day two had been patched long before they pointed it it out, and since that's the last time they've appeared on Digg or Slashdot, I don't know the validity of any of the other ones.

Every script kiddie in the world claims to be a "Security Consultant".
