I hope someone can help me here. I have installed Jaguar and I have found out that there is not iDVD in it!! Now, I have tried to download the latest version it from Apple but to do so you need an earlier version already installed. I believe I need verion 2.0 in order to install the new one which is now 2.1. The question is: how can I get an earlier version? I've looked around various sites for 2.0 with no luck. Can anyone help??? Thank you!! Luc

It's on a DVD that came in the computer when you bought it.

Instead of rewriting a beaten-dead issue, I copied this from Apple's iDVD forum:

    ---begin---

Knowledgebase articles of interest to you are:

Unless your system shipped with OSX 10.2, only the first two articles are relevant to you. This would have been the preferred method of restoring iDVD without having to do a complete reinstall of an earlier OS...

in order to install and use iDVD, your computer needs to have a superdrive. just because 10.2 is out doesn''t mean that everyone now gets iDVD. i'm sure you can download it from somewhere and use an external DVD burner so you can use it.

    good luck.

I'm not sure thats true, although I wish it were. I have a feeling iDVD may have been nobbled so it only works with Apple recognised SuperDrives, not third party external burners.

From what I understand, it only works with internal superdrives. You can also order it from Apple for $19.99 that way you have the CD.
