Second HD for MacPro

I was thinking of adding a second HD for my MacPro. It currently has a Western Digital 250GB one. It has been fine and relatively quiet. Wondered what HD's other people have had good luck with in their MacPro's.

I've had a lot of Maxtor drives in the past and I've never had a single problem with them. I haven't been so lucky with Western Digitals, but that's probably just down to bad luck. The Seagate & Samsung drives I've had have also been reliable.

I think all 3.5" drives are pretty good these days. If I were you, I'd be tempted to get another identical 250GB WD drive and configure them as a RAID-0 stripe set (remember to backup regularly). RAID-0 can really speed things up...

Go with another WD. You can grab one an oem model for about $70.
