NAT error in azureus

Greetings!

I'm a recent mac convert, and hence, somewhat unfamiliar with how to manipulate certain things.

I'm having a bit of an issue involving azureus. in short, if i have my firewall turned on, i have a NAT error in azureus, and my downloads are painstakingly slow. if i turn the firewall off, however, this issue goes away.

surely there is a way to have the firewall turned on without having NAT issues. can anyone shed some light on this issue?

much appreciated!

You have to open the port you use for Azureus to allow connections from outside the web.

This is a very common question and there are LOTS of resources out there.
