Using a projector

I have a twin 2.5 G5 powerPro with an ATI 9800XT. I have tried to connect it to a Hitachi projector. On the first try, it came up on screen but the dock was not visible. I therefore tried to change the resolution whereupon the screen went blank and the message on screen said " no input detected on HDMI. I have been unable to get it to work. Any suggestions? Is it my graphics card? Drtooth

    1) You may have to manually specify DVI (or VGA) from HDMI in the projector menu. My projector uses a single port for Composite/VGA/video out, and another for DVI/VGA. I have to manually tell the projector what input to expect.



    2) In the Display preference pane click "detect displays" and verify your settings in the arrangement tab. The dock will only show one one display (the one with the menu bar) unless you have "Mirror Displays" checked.
