Autohide : can't get preferences?

I held apple [command] + move the mouse to the upper left corner...



and i'm unable to get the preferences for autohide?



anyone else having this problem?



version: 1.3.5

    when they say upper left, they really do mean UPPER LEFT

    Autohide is a prog. that automatically hides the previous program when you switch to a different program or click the desktop/finder.



    Very useful little program. I really don't need to use Minimize in Place or Window Shades anymore....



    I put the cursor on the upper left, but just under the menubar. in the readme, it states to put it in the upper left [the cursor]. I didn't think they meant ALL THE WAY in the upper left, above and to the left of the apple symbol
