How to best prolong battery life?
OK, so took a step into the 21st Century today, my first iPod - a 2nd gen Shuffle - is installed, autofilled and charging as we speak. According to the FedEx tracking, Apple drop-shipped it yesterday from Suzhou, China, which I just find fascinating. Also had to upgrade to 7.02, still getting used to that. Anyways, the warning about limited rechargings of the battery spooked me a little, so I'm curious -
What is the best strategy to maximize useful life of the battery?
- Recharge it just 'cuz when you think of it
- Every night or day, or routinely keeping it plugged in
- Wait until it's completely dead, then recharge it fully
and
- How long will a completely recharged battery last, and
- what's the typical time it takes to charge from bottom up
Thanks!
