XDarwin and OSX
I read on XDarwin.org that XDarwin gives you the XWindows environment in addition to Aqua, and makes a Mac being able to run software like OpenOffice.org and The Gimp (MacGimp)...
How does this work ? Is it like running an application in Classic Mode, or does it integrate better/differently with Aqua ?
On the website they seemed to hint that you would switch between windowing environments, and then some of the screenshots looked like it ran just as a carbon app...
Have anyone tried this, and if so, how does it work ? And most importantly is everything still stable ?
I hardware is a PowerBook G4/667.
Thanks in advance!

I sometimes run XDarwin on top of OSX, but haven't launched it for at least a year.

Can XDarwin run x86 Linux programs?
Can XDarwin run x86 Linux programs?

Not without an x86 emulator.
You should instead recompile your binaries for Darwin.

With XDarwin installed will I have GCC etc installed?
Otherwise I can't compile programs.
