Hey when I open up a .avi File in Quicktime It will say you are missing a codec, it doesnt say which one, brings me to a site, and has like 15. If I don't dload the component the video will stay a blank white. Does anyone have any Idead which codec I need for an .avi? Thanks.

http://perian.org/ probably has what you need.

AVI is a container format that supports many different codecs, so just specifying AVI doesn't give us any info on what codec you want.

If the Perian plug-in won't play it, VLC Player will, unless it's some ridiculous format. And if VLC Player won't play it, it will say what codec is missing/needed.
