OSX installation hangs on iMac DV SE Help Please

Hello I am installing OSX 10.4 onto an iMac DV SE (Graphite) 400mhz Machine.

It is running os9.2 and has the firmware update 4.1.9 the installation process seems to go ok until the License agreement screen after clicking continue it seems to stall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Almost sounds like the language files are unreadable on the disc or something.. check if the media is scratched.
