LaCie wont format (windows)

Hi there, I just got a 500GB LaCie to use with my PC (windows XP) and I'm having problems formating it. It gets to over 90% and then says "Was unable to format successfully"



I have checked my drivers and everything seems to be fine, it's showing up in my computer, but I just can't format it.

    May have solved it myself, I restarted my computer and plugged it in with the USB rather than the firewire, I did a quick format and it seems to have worked first time. I have transferred a couple of video files onto it, and have no problems playing them. I'll try it with the firewire next time, but hopefully wont be a problem as seen as it's formated now.
