Does anyone know why when i bring in attachments that are jpg into mail why they turn black? It seems if hte jpg image is somewhat over 1 meg then it turns it black. Is there any work arround this?

I've noticed that, too.
It's an issue with CMYK jpegs when 'viewed in place' in Mail. You'll notice the jpegs open fine in preview and if you're sending them to someone on a PC, they come through just fine. It's been a problem since around 10.4.5, as far as I can remember. I'd like to see a fix for it, but since it's only cosmetic, I can deal with it for now.
