    Sounds like a precarious situation for MS. They do not want to appear to directly copy the iPhone. Its unlikely Apple would allow AT&T to offer MS the same deal. Its not likely MS would be able to partner with any other mobile phone carrier to offer a fully featured phone.



    It appears they are choosing to go with a VOIP phone. Without WiFi connection its useless as a communications device. At this point WiFi is pretty fractured and inconsistent to be fully depended on.
