How do I get my eMac to recognize my 2nd gen shuffle???

The automated tech guy at Apple (who happens to also work at my credit card bank) doesn't know sh*t. Please enlighten me....

    The 2nd generation Shuffle works only with iTunes version 7, so first, download and install the new version.

    Had it already. I don't think it's a software problem. When I go to my System Profiler and click on my USB ports I can see my keyboard/mouse and my printer, but the 3rd USB bus has nothing. The eMac doesn't even know shuffle is there!

    did you open itunes when you plugged it in?

    Not to worry (as I know countless masses are sleepless). It was just a defective iPod. Target took it back and gave me one that lights up when I dock it. Yippie Skidoo. 23232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323
