SNES Gamepad Key Mapping Conflict

Hey all.. Ive been trying to get two player mode on SNES9X to work with one person on a game controller (I have the Gravis Gamepad Pro USB) and one of the keyboard. But... each time i map the controller it conflicts with the keyboard... ive been messing with it for the past hour about and its starting to tick me off... Im running Jag 10.2.1. I know that the SNES has to have the application support thing installed but thats screwed up as well... I'll keep trying but if anyone can help me that would be awesome.
