Taking iPod to Mexico

I have an 8 Gb Nano with a Firewire power plug. Despite the Nano not supporting Firewire, I'm able to charge it using the Firewire cable and the Firewire power plug.

I'm planning to go on a vacation to Cancun next week.

After doing some research, I found that Mexico uses 127 volt power plugs and sockets and adaptors.

I'd like to be able to listen to some music on my vacation, but I'm afraid that if I use a 120 volt to 127 volt adaptor, I'm might fry my Nano.

What do you think? Is it worth the risk?

Note: Out of paranoia of getting my Nano stolen, I might just take my first generation 500 Mb Shuffle instead (which would probably force me to get a USB power plug for it).

You will need neither power adapters nor power converters to use your electronics in Mexico, as they use the same power system as the rest of North America. The difference between 120V and 127V is negligible.

Here is the World Electric Guide. You would need a power adapter to use in countries that have 110/120V power but don't use the same power plugs that we do in NA; and you would need a power converter to use in countries that use 220/240V.

    Enjoy Mexico.

If you had access to a laptop, I would rather just take that and use that as your power supply. That's what I did when I went to Mexico and the Carribean. But then again, we were on a cruise ship.
