Hello,

I have very recently purchased an Apple iPod of 4GB, and when I got home I started loading songs and videos into it.

When I tried to play those, I received an error and following the iPod support manual at [http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs] I tried to restore it (after the first four didn't help), but when I plugged it in the iTunes program didn't show it in the source list.

I decided to format it, hoping that might solve the problem, and now after I formatted the computer is telling me that my iPod's space is only 470 MB.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now, why is it showing as 470 MB or why wouldn't the iTunes program recognize it.

Greatly appreciated if anyone could try to help, thanks in advance.

Roee.

Without more data I'd have to say that the storage chips on the iPod are fecked... or it's the iPod's logic board. Demand a replacement.

Okay, thanks. I was afraid that might be the case.
