G4 not booting after powercut

Hi All

Major problem here. Just want to know if anyone has any idea what this might be.

The computer was asleep at the time the power went off. Now, if I hit the startup button, the light comes on as I hold the button down, but that's it, no boot up, nothing.

Is this a problem with the power supply? Has something been fried?

Any help much appreciated.

Try this: disconnect the power cable from your computer. Then wait a few minutes and open the case. Somewhere near the small battery socket on the mainboard, there should be a little switch (looks like a round button, 2 mm in diameter, = CUDA switch). Press it for about one second, not longer! Then close the case, reconnect the power cable and try to start the computer.

    Does that help?

My friend - if you ever find yourself in London NW5, please feel free to email me and claim your free pint of beer.

I had visions of buying new power supply, internal hard drive caddys etc ect...

    Many thanks
