RAM on iMac

I went to the Apple store in Arden (in Sacramento) talking to them about installing RAM for me when I buy my 24" iMac. He said that since it is the 24", it has a 1 DIM 1 GB RAM instead of 2x512MB of RAM. If this is the case, I can just order a 1GB of RAM instead of getting 2 1GB of RAM and save myself some money by doing it myself.

The question is, do thwe 24" iMacs really come with a 1 DIM 1GB of RAM, or is it 2x512MB of RAM? (Apple.com says the 2x512MB, BTW)

I'd tend to believe the Tech Specs at Apple.com. Tech Specs says 2x512MB, which also matches with what the online Apple Store says.
