Getting dodgy popups.

I've been getting dodgy popups on my Macbook.

The problem only happens when someone else uses it.

Erm... I know for a fact that they're not going to any dodgy websites!

On a PC: Spyware.

Macs: viruses and spyware don't exist - or so I've been told by you guys.

ALSO: somehow... we've got dodgy exe files downloaded.

Harmless on the Mac yes. But how do they get there?

Obvious answer: the person who was using the Mac clicked yes or something.

But... as far as I'm concerned the opportunity to download should never have happened?

Any replies would be appreciated.

Thanks.

    The only way you could have those as you call them; dodgy exe files, is if they were deliberately downloaded. If you still felt nervous about the whole thing I suggest you uncheck this box in the General tab of Safari preferences;
