How to get Quake Arena to run on OS X

Hey people,



I've got Quake III:Gold installed, and I downloaded 1.32 update, but Quake refuses to run in OS X. It "unexpectedly quits". What is the trick here?

    Check the crash log in user/library/logs/crash reporter

    it will tell you why quake3 keeps crashing. Its probly a memory thing, or an install problem. You might want to (after unistalling) take the PAK0.PAK3 file, copy it where you want it. Then run the installer from the lastest update.



    I have the linux quake3 cd and this is how i install it on macOSX. Thats the beauty of those .PAK file you can move them from linux, to win, to mac as long as you have the right updater.
