PowerMac G5 1.8GHz Single Processors - Upgrades Considerations

Hi,

I have been considering two upgrades to the PowerMac G5 1,8GHz SP, however I have some doubts. The upgrades are:

a. 2x250GB SATA harddisk to be configured as RAID-0 replacing the original 80GB drive.

b. Graphic Card

Question regarding harddisk upgrade and configured as RAID-0. I understand that PowerMac G5 1.8GHz SP does not come with hardware raid, therefore it is just software raid supported by Mac Os X. The question is: will having RAID-0 configuration on this machine improve performance or take a CPU time hit by software raid?

Question regarding Graphic Card; I understand that the graphic card slot is the AGP 8xPRO version. Do I need to get Mac version of grapic card and a AGP 8x pro slot version? Or can I get any third party agp 8x (without pro) card?

Thanks
