Anonymous Surfing
Hey there,
I'm new to Mac. Just came in from the PC world. So far I love it. MY computer hangs less and I trust it to work when I want it to. On the Windows PC, I used to use Ghostsurf alot. Does anyone know of a good easy client like ghostsurf for Mac OS X???
I tried Primedius, but it doesn't work for some reason. After settin it up, I can't create a free account . It doesn't connect to the primedius server.
Would really appreciate the info.
Regards,
Julz

What do you mean by "anonymous" surfing.
Safari has a feature called 'Private Browsing' available in the 'Safari' menu. Under private browsing, no cookies, cache, history, etc is stored once the browser window has been closed.

Private Browsing prevents any new information to be stored in Safari. It doesn't prevent your IP address from being broadcast to sites you visit, which is what I think the poster is asking. A anonymous service usually involves routing your web requests through someone else's server, sort of like by proxy.

Do share, we've all been there
So, just curious, you want this because you might be doing "less legal" stuff online, because you're a hidden porn addict, or because you're just plain paranoid?

Hey Dutch Bear!!!
Well I totally agree with you. We have all been there when it comes to porn and stuff. No one can say that they haven't ventured into a site once or twice...
In any case with so many torrents available on the web, I hardly think that would be an issue with me needing a client like Ghostsurf
However having said that , I live in Dubai. Over here the ISP has blocked certain sites. Porn sites I can agree with. But they also have blocked other useful sites like Skype and other free software sites. For that reason I used Ghostsurf when I was using my PC. Now with the Mac, not so sure what client is available.
