Safari and eBay

I put an item up for sale today on eBay. Using Safari, I was unable to upload pictures (60K jpeg files) to eBay for the sale. I used my PC with Firefox and the pictures uploaded immediately. Does anyone know why this happened with Safari? Has anyone else had a similar problem?
