EMac as external monitor?

I do use a MacBook and still have my EMac around. I noticed on another thread that it just might be possible to use the EMac as an external monitor. I suppose it won't be as simple as ripping everything out of the EMac in order to use it as a monitor... Any suggestions?

    Sorry, I don't think this is possible without modfiying it. The closest is to use the eMac to VNC into the new machine to display "mirror". This is one reason why some people are not that happy with all-in-one type computers.
