Library/Receipts - Can I throw them away ???

As title, I'm having a spring clean and have so far freed up 3gb on my HD by clearing out stuff from the Cache's, but can I do the same in the Receipts folder ??? There's lots of stuff in there which is irrelevent to me, like Asian fonts, printer drivers for machines I haven't got, iPod/iSight/Airport (ain't got any of them). There's also all the security and OS update stuff, as well as any apps I've installed. Can I bin the lot ???

    You can but don't. They are there to let installers know what software you have installed.



    If you need to do HD cleaning, generally stay away from /Library and /System and any of the invisible folders.



    The best way to free up space is to use Whatsize to see what's using the most and work your way down.
