What Games Do YOU Play?

Alright, with the lack of any real news lately, I've found myself turning to freeware games to fill my time.

So I started to wonder, what games do you guys play? Not the big graphic intensive games like Half-Life 2 or Doom 3. But the small freeware and shareware games like Big Bang Board Games and Snood.

What are your top picks?

    These are widgets:

Great way to waste a few minutes (aka, reset the brain)

If you really want to exercise your tinker for an hour or so, try

    Goban

This is the Japanese game of "go" or as it is known here "igo". It is a fascinating game that blows chess out of the water for complexity (no computer can come close to a human player yet). It is also a very oraganic game of life and death. Jpaanese newspapers carry "igo" problems, not chess, and every weekend there are live TV shows of matches between top players.

    On Mac:

    EV Nova

    Bejeweled

    Alchemy

    Kill Dr. Kote

    Big Bang Chess

    Minesweeper clone \

I tried 'Battle for Wesnoth', very nice for free ware, but uber difficult. I got tired of getting halfway through a campaign only to find that I'd been raising levels on the wrong types of troops.

    PC:

Real Arcade games (QBeez, Tumblebugs, Virtual Villagers, etc.)

    Chuzzle

    Chicken Hunter

    I'm all for simulation games.

    Roller Coaster Tycoon 3!

    The Sims 2!

Sim City 3000 (I never got around to trying 4)

I don't really game that much. RCT3 and S2 get boring after a while and I dont want to waste my money on expansion packs.

Okay, lets get this thread back on topic. I was talking about "freeware" games. Not the full fledged boxed games you pay $50 for.

Cave Story - because it's almost the best thing ever in the world (nearly).

A bunch of ABA shoot'emup games: Torus Trooper, Gun Roar, Tumiki Fighters, Parsec47

    http://shinh.skr.jp/osxbin/gr_0_14.dmg

GLTron - still the best 3D version of Tron out there I reckon.

Quinn - everybody loves Tetris, right?

Other than that, the only games I play on a Mac are Doom and Quake. Oh and emulation of course... 8)

Even though I bought it, Age Of Empires III is the sweetness.

Freeware and shareware? X-Moto (a rip-off of ElastoMania) and Toribash are pretty fun. Toribash takes some getting used to, but its a really weird (but addicting) fighting game.

    SuperTux (sweet mario like game)

    Pac the Man X

DOSBOX ( because I can play dos based games through this awesome emulator from back in the day when the PC's were worth it)

    MacTrek (really confuso)

MacBornes (card game based on Miles Bornes)

    Armagedon Advanced (Tron)

    Nexuiz (fragger game)

STEP MANIA (Possibly the best time consuming finger puncher game ever, it's confusing to get everything set up but so, so, so so sosososo worth it.)

I accidently sent that game to netflix instead of my movie last week. Of course I can't get it back. I'm such a freaking moron

I got it as a gift and now I'm going to have to pay to get it back.

I have only two at time for my MacBook Pro 17 Intel 2.16 GHz Core Duo.

UT 2004 - great game but I don't play it much, I had this for my old Win D'ohs machine & played it a lot when it came out.

Star Wars Battlefront - I bought this a couple days discount at a closing CompUSA store & the game completely blows. Way too easy even on hard settings but I've been spoiled by playing QUAKE all those years.

I haven't played Quake 4 yet on the MBP, I'm sure it would be pointless with my limited videocard.

Widget game - Asteroids, my all time favorite classic!
