Mini-DVI to DVI Adaptor

I just bought an iMac and will need to connect it to another monitor. The monitor I will be hooking it up to is a 20 inch Dell 2001FP (1600 x 1200). I've read reviews on apple.com and some people seem to be having trouble connecting it to some monitors. Can someone verify that this adaptor will work for this monitor?

    I have a MacBook and a Dell 2000FP which are working happily together through the Apple mini-DVI connector.



    I regularly use a Dell 2001FP with my Mac Pro, with no issues.
