Finder crashes sporadically...
Hey there,
So about a month or so ago, my Finder started crashing on me at really strange times. Usually would happen when I was trying to right-click something, or change a folder name, etc. It doesn't do it all the time, just on a whim when it pleases. It doesn't mess up anything I'm doing, just relaunches the finder, so it's not fatal, but annoying. I scoured the Finder.crash.log file and it's all greek to me. I'm hoping someone can help me decipher what this is telling me...

Thanks for any help ... the most I can get is that Thread 0 crashed, but I don't know why. TechTool says my RAM is okay ...
Any ideas?

In Library/Contextual Menu Items I have StuffitCM.plugin and DocumentsToGoXCM.plugin
In ~/Library/Contextual Menu Items I have Toastit.plugin and Path Finder CM.plugin
You think one of those is the problem??? If so, for my enlightenment, what in the log leads you to believe that it has something to do with the CMI folders? Thanks for your help...
Actually there is...

I'm not 100% remembering, but I had the same problem, and I think it was StuffitCD.plugin on mine - if you google it, I think there's some sort of patched stuffitCM.plugin that works better (ie no crashing). I had to replace mine, and since then no problems.

I tried this and it seems to have worked. I'll keep an eye out over the next few days to see if it happens again though. Thanks!
