Automator Help...

I am constantly opening 18 .psd files in Photoshop and printing 100 copies of each at work for price lists, ads, and promo material for other companies. Is it possible to get Automator to open these files and get it to print them so I don't have to sit here and kill an hour or two.

If no one offers any suggestions or answer at this website, you could also ask at the Apple Support forums.

    Good day.

My name is Jesse. I was reading some posts at an Apple forum called Apple Insider.

An Apple Insider user named Digital Disasta wrote the following question in a thread [ http://forums.appleinsider.com/showt...64#post1058364 ] he/she started titled 'Automator Help':

"I am constantly opening 18 .psd files in Photoshop and printing 100 copies of each at work for price lists, ads, and promo material for other companies. Is it possible to get Automator to open these files and get it to print them so I don't have to sit here and kill an hour or two."

Since no one had yet offered any suggestions or answer, I suggested that he/she also ask at the Apple Support forums.

After posting my reply, I decided to do a quick Google search for Automator Photoshop actions; finding this website via Apple downloads [ http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...utomator.html# ], I figured the smartest thing would be to quickly ask someone from this website if they know of an Automator Photoshop action that will accomplish what Digital Disasta would like to do, or, if none exist, request that someone from this website would be able to create one, not only for Digital Disasta, but available for anyone who might want or need such an Automator Photoshop action.

Ben Long, the poster of all the Automator Actions at Complete Digital Photography [ http://www.completedigitalphotograph...dex.php?cat=10 ] might know the answer. I would write him directly, but I don't see any direct contact info for him with his posts, only Comments, and the last post of his is from September, 2006. He might not even see a Comment in his most recent post, if I wrote him the above text.

    Suggestions? Answer?

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Jesse

Keep an eye on the site - I'll put up notices as soon as I have something new.

surely you can do this with photoshop's built in batch commands. otherwise can't you just drag the files onto your printer icon.
