ipod click wheel question

About 4 months ago, the center button on my ipods click wheel (ipod 5th gen) sunk in, its still responsive, but it just sunk in, and dosent feel the same it did prior to me noticing. What do you guys think happend? Theres a scratch going across the click wheel but it dosent seem deep enough, to have caused the button to sink in.

    Sounds like a warranty issue if your still under it.
