How powerful is the integrated graphics in iBooks?

Does anyone know the equivalent of the integrated graphics in iBooks?



How well does it run 3D accelerated stuff like google earth or older 3D games like quake3?



Is it as powfull as ATI radeon x300 or more like a readon 7500 or even weaker?

    The integrated graphics in the MacBook are passable, but not terrific by any means. You should be able to run Google Earth without issue, and I'm sure that Quake 3 would run alright because it's a Universal Binary. Other older games that don't have a Universal Binary would probably run very poorly and most newer games won't run very well either.

    It's hard to compare chips side by side because they perform differently when mixed with different hardware but yeah the GMA is around the X300 and the chips in this list:

    I tried playing WoW on my ibook and it was not very happy about it at all.



    I run WoW on my Macbook and it plays very nice. Couldn't be happier. If you can afford it..go with the Macbook. Leapord will be glad u did.
