Installing XP with Parallels (frozen?)

I just got an iMac yesterday and I am trying to install XP on it. I dl'ed parallels and I am into the XP installation process. The installation seems to be stuck at "Installing Windows" section of the process (right after "Preparing Installation"). It says, "Setup will complete in approximately 33 minutes" and the progress bar says that it is "Installing Devices". It has been at this same point for well over an hour and a half. I don't ever remember Windows taking that long to install on a PC. Is this supposed to take this long or is something wrong? BTW, it doesn't appear to be frozen b/c I can still move my mouse inside of the install screen.

    No, it should take about 45 minutes for the whole thing. Do you have any external devices plugged in during the installation?
