Can anybody help me on how to remove the backside on my iMac G5 20" iSight?

This guide does not show it http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300908

They refer to the manual but it is not showing this.

The reason i am asking is because iI have no power what so ever. The psu does not deliver. Does anybody know what the cause of this may be? The extended warranty for psu failure is not valid with my model.

Not sure, but it sounds like you're right-- it's the power supply. The old G5s had some pretty obvious screws to unscrew and it opened easily-- not sure about the iSight G5, sorry...

Edit: I keep finding that it's officially no longer user serviceable.

Yes that's why I want to open it myself and have a look at the psu. The warranty is over and I can't seem to find a resonably priced psu anywhere. I've managed to open the front (which was easy), but that's no good since the psu is on the other side of the computer.

You can't open it from the back, it's opened from the front, and it's a pain even for techs who have the right tools. If I were you, I wouldn't even try. Luckily for you, the power supply is one of the easiest-to-afford repairs in that machine.

Also, though I doubt it matters much, that guide you posted is for the wrong model. That's for the 17" non-iSight models.

I would ask Apple, they did extend the support for power supply problems, I don't know if it's still in effect.

That was for the Rev A iMac G5s that started shipping in the Fall of 2004 (bad capacitor issues). The iMac G5 iSight model was released in November of 2005.
