After installing the latest parallels update my windows VM says that the hardware on the computer has changed significantly changed and that i have to reactivate windows. When i tried to reactivate i'm told that my license key has been used too many times. What am i supposed to do? My copy of XP is from an old Dell box that i no longer use with windows.

You've got a problem with Microsoft... You'll have to contact them to Reactivate/Get a new activation Key...

You're probably out of luck. If it was pre-installed on the old Dell, that license is technically only good for that computer.

If it isn't, there is a limit to how many times you can re-install, especially if you change computers... Check the license agreement. Usually if you buy software in a box (at least microsoft), you get 5 installs, with no 2 being on different computers at the same time, and all under the same name. Otherwise, you could sell you license and pass it around to other people...
