I am looking for a half way decent USB or Firewire audio interface so I can connect a microphone and guitar to my computer.

I was looking at this one: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...ce?sku=245507X

What do you think?

Any suggestions?

$150 is my money limit.

Forget about it. Record AND playback through USB2 is very limited ... jitter porblems and USB's poor latecy means you can't overdub / double track in real time, etc. ... or record more than two channels at a time = one guitar, one mic only. Also and more important, IMOP, USB2 can't handle a quality bandwidth, 96K or 192K without the latency being totally unreasonable.

Get a FireWire Audio interface (DAC / ACD) like the Roland or M-Audio FireWire connected devices or the newer Echo Digital AudioFire2 ($200 or less) ... or hold your breath for the Apple device ( http://www.appleinsider.com/articles...arageband.html )
