Printing PDF

I am trying to print a PDF, and every time I do...the text is unreadable. I have tried usinf Preview and Adobe Reader 8...and both do the same thing. How can I fix this?

    Which model printer?



    Any special or unusual fonts?

    HP C3180, and not that I am aware of.
