How do i open two application of the same thing on my mac?

    AFAIK the app has to be coded to allow multiple instances.

    Create a second copy of the application. Ie. If you have Quicktime Player, create a Quicktime Player 2.

    Whilst Leonard's answer directly answers your question, it would be a good idea for you (Blackmille) to tell us the answer to Smax's question. Quite often people think they need to do something one particular (complicated) way, when actually there's a simpler solution.



    Let us know what you are ultimately trying to achieve and it may turn out you do not even need two instances of a single application.



    Oh, and, some programs don't work terribly well if you run two (or more) copies at once.

    Im am accturly trying to open to "World of warcraft" games on my mac. Ive done it on my pc there its just opening 2 world of warcrafts by clicking the icon twice and enter the game.

    But in this case when i open it just opens the game im running first. It dosent open a new one :/

    how do you play two games at once?



    Anyway, try Leonard's suggestion: In the finder, select (single-click) the WOW application, and press the "command" (apple) key and "D" key simultaneously. This will create a copy of the application. You may be able to run the original WOW application and the copied application simultaneously.
