i have an iMac. When i get a bluray or hddvd or whatever player do you think there will be a hd coppier for mac soon to copy hd movies and do you think external bluray burners will be mac compatable
At this rate, I bet $10 an open source solution will be available before Apple releases its "official" HD-DVD/Blueray product. They have yet to ship anything with HDCP, Bueray or HD-DVD drives, and Apple shows no hint of AACS.
However, HD-DVD supposedly already works on Ubuntu, decrypting and all. It is only a matter of time until that comes to us Mac users. This would allow us non-HDCP users to watch movies and where there is demand, there is Open source programs. The MPAA hasn't realized this yet and are scratching their butts as to why there is "piracy" in the first place.

(BTW: I'm drunk. Take with salt.
EDIT: Oh yea, I think Blueray writers already exist for Mac.
