Macbook thin - a myth?

Was a lot of fuss about the Macbook Thin in december.

And then it got quiet..

Anybody heard more rumours about Apple's Macbook ultra portable edition?

I still miss a 12" option - a substitute for the 12" PB...

The rumors from before weren't based on anything but desire and wishful thinking. If the rumors start up again (as they inevitably will) they still won't be based on anything but desire and wishful thinking.

If Apple thinks they can make enough money from an ultra-portable to offset development costs and not cannibalize sales of other notebooks in their line, then they will bring one to market.

And we won't see it coming till it gets here, at which point whoever was talking up the "rumor" last will claim victory.

Cant really see how a 12" powerbook-clone will cannibalize the sales of other notebooks..

I mean...they did have the iBook for the low-end consumer segment (now: mid-end macbook) and high-end powerbook line (17, 15, 12) for the professionals.
