Mini DVI to DVI Problem
Hello,
I just purchased the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter to hook up my Samsung Syncmaster 204B monitor. I have it hooked up and all seems good until the monitor turns off for a split second then turns back on, I dont exactly know whats going on but it starts doing it more frequent and then it stops. It is connected to a 20 inch. 2.16 GHZ C2D iMac Raedon X1600 128MB of RAM...Any help would be appreciated

Just an Idea. Open your activity monitor. See what's going on with the system and memory when it happens. If nothing, then it's most likely a problem with the monitor. Hope it's under warranty. Good luck.
Does the monitor literally "turn off", or is it just that the screen goes blank?
When you say it starts to happen more, then stops, do you mean the blanking out happens more frequently, or for longer periods each time, or both? And when it "stops", do you mean it stops misbehaving, or the monitor just shuts down altogether?
If it's just a matter of the monitor blanking out a few times when you first hook it up, that would be one thing. If it happens after you been operating for a while, and without plugging or unplugging the monitor, there's probably something wrong with the monitor (although it wouldn't hurt to do the old "wiggle" test to see if there are any intermittent things happening in your cable or DVI adapter).
Some questions:

I changed the DVI cable and it stopped happening, thanks for the help though!
