Selling My Mac - lost install disks..HELP!
Hey everyone, I am selling my Mac on eBay but I've lost my install disks. What steps can I make sure so the buyer will have none of my information when he receives it.
I know to deauthorize my iTunes
How do you delete the memorized passwords in web browsers?
Get rid of the password for installing products and logging in?
And anything else I am missing.
Also is there any way to wipe the system without the install disks? THANKS!

Maybe you can pay Apple to send you a new set.

Delete all the applications the new owner shouln't get, then in the Accounts preference panel create a new user who has admin rights (check "Allow this user to administer the computer"). Then log out from your current account and log into the new account. Then from the new account, delete your old account. This erases all your personal data plus all everything else concerning your use of the computer (application's preferences etc.).
After that, google for an application that securely erases all the free space on your HD (including the parts where your old data was stored - before it was deleted by removing your old user account). Then it should be pretty safe to sell the computer.
