This may sound weird, but bear with me. I'm still new to the Apple world.

Is it OS (X) as in the letter X?!

Or is it OS 10?!

It's okay to love your computer, but not okay to MAKE love to your computer.

You probably giggle cause it sounds like "sex". Cooler or not, it's technically wrong.

Heh. I think our ancient Roman forefathers would take issue with that.

I take offence to that, this is nothing to do with being a "Grammanazi". That fact of the matter is it's just plain incorrent to call it X. This thread was written by a guy wanting to find out how one should pronounce 'OS X' in the right way, he wanted an answer and he got it. The funny thing is you are telling me to lighten up, yet you are the one giving out. Saying you run OS "ex", is like a Windows user saying they run "Elbows", and not "Windows". This was a healthy discussion until you got emotionally involved and got your knickers in a twist.

Geez Ireland, your as precious as a nun's fart...and as flamin hilarious.

Mate, takin the piss is a wonderful Irish larikin quality us Aussies inherited from your mob..

So try not to be such a sheila over it..

As for OSX being prononounced OS 10 well thats fine....as long as you realise that means XP-2 must be pronounced

10 Pee-too (just about what its worth too)

But like I said, who gives a Bunyip's yip.

Anyway, if you prefer, we can settle this like a couple of fair dinkum blokes..

You know, a punch up followed by a couple of pints of Murphy's, Guinness or Coopers

    Loser buys the drinks.....
